A designated station officer. verifying accuracy of tallies, descriptions, and completeness of the log.
Each ALS equipped unit shall carry the following:

double lock secure box
supply of security seals

controlled substance allocation 900.21
controlled substance inventory log 900.26
controlled substance inventory log examples
a copy of O.G. 2.4
Max amount of Versed
(6) 10mg total of 60 mg
Max amount of Fentanyl
(2) 100mcg total 200 mcg
Max amount of Ketamine
(2) 500 mg total of 1000mg
Stations housing ALS equipped reserve apparatus shall have what?
lock boxes in the EMS supply area containing controlled substances assigned to the reserve apparatus.
The two members signing will verify what when a seal is broken?
The broken seal number matches the number listed in the log
The drug count listed matches the count in the log
The drugs used, including amount. if applicable

The EMS office will schedule a time within how many days for replacement of used or expired drugs?

An email with the following information should be sent to EMS Supplies (PF&R) for replenishment is EMS staff can not be reached.
you name and company number
date and time
type of drugs and amount needed
reason for needing replacement
usable stock remaining in you inventory
Can an authorized member from one apparatus transport expired controlled substance drugs from another apparatus to EMS for exchange?
yes, the exchange must be documented on both 900.26 drug logs
This will cause a temporary increase in the maximum number of controlled drugs on one apparatus but is authorized to accommodate the transfer.
