Level 1 exposure:
contact limited to being in the presence of a patient suspected communicable disease
Level 2 exposure
Contact with blood/body fluids on intact skin, clothing or equipment
Level 3 exposure:
contact with blood/bodily fluids to non intact skin
contact to mucous membranes
