OMB - Take Off Flashcards
What is the minimum RVR for take-off?
And if LVPs not in force?
125m for all reported and relevant sectors
400m if LVPs not in force
When should ignition be selected on for take-off?
Ignition = both igniters initiated
Should be on for:
Contaminated runway/standing water
Turbulence expected
Heavy rain
What modifications to FLEX can occur for unplanned Anti Ice and reduction in QNH?
Anti ice -5deg
QNH -1deg
What happens to pressurisation system during take-off?
When takeoff thrust is set pre-pressurisation mode activated and the cabin is pressurised to 0.1 psi above ambient to prevent a surge on rotation
When does take-off inhibit begin and end?
Begins at 80kts
Ends at 1500ft AGL
Any warnings in this time are significant!
When does the take off memo appear?
2 mins after second engine start and disappears when first engine reaches takeoff power
When does SRS mode engage and how does it function?
SRS is a managed vertical mode & it engages when THR levers entered into TOGA or FLEX for takeoff or go around
For takeoff SRS target speed is:
On ground/takeoff roll - V2
Once airborne
- 2 engine V2 + 10kts
-1 engine V2 or current speed, whichever is greater limited to V2+15kts
For go-around SRS target speed is:
Memorised speed at time of GA engagement or Vapp, whichever is greater
When will SRS deactivate during take-off?
When ACCEL altitude is reached or any other altitude constraint, crew select a speed (SRS will revert to OP CLB), TCAS RA triggered or crew selects any other vertical mode
When is the predictive windshear system active for takeoff and landing?
Alerts are inhibited between 100kts and 50ft on the takeoff roll
The alerts are then active up until 2300ft
Alerts then active again for landing below 2300ft, warnings downgraded to cautions below 370ft and inhibited completely below 50ft
When is the reactive windshear system active for takeoff and landing?
Takeoff - Active 3 sec after liftoff, up to 1300ft
Landing - Active from 1300ft to 50ft
