17
Q

What are the stable approach criteria for lateral path?

A

Within 1 dot localiser, Xtrack within 0.3nm for non RNP AR, L/DEV 1 RNP for RNP AR, within 30 degrees of track for visual/circling

18
Q

By 1000ft we must be:

A

Fully configered, speed within Vapp+30

19
Q

By 500 ft we must be:

A

On vertical and lateral path, maximum rate of descent according to path, Speed max Vapp+10/-5, maximum bank 15 degrees, landing checklist completed

20
Q

When to do a discontinued approach/go around?

A

When below selected FCU altitude: go around. When above selected FCU altitude: cancel approach, select appropriate guidance.

21
Q

How to catch the glide from above?

A

Minimum config 2, more as required. Select v/s 1500ft min initially. Wind up the altitude. Make sure gs is blue. Max v/s 2000 ft/min.

22
Q

What are limitations for final app guidance?

A

Max 1 degree difference with published chart, do not use when ‘too steep path’ message, check OAT; do not use when low temperature corrections need to be made as it may not engage. Use of remote station QNH is not permitted.
If nav accuracy is low use trk/fpa.

23
Q

How much FPA do you need to recover 100 ft?

A

1 degree in FPA recovers 100ft/min.

24
Q

What are the autoland limitations for SE?

A

320 CEO: flap full only. 319/320 NEO: flap 3 and flap full.

25
Q

What is the maximum weight for an autoland.

A

Max LW. 319 is certified up to 69 tonnes.

26
Q

What is the maximum glideslope that is allowed for autoland?

A

CEO: 3.15 and NEO 3.25

27
Q

What is the controlling RVR?

A

Touchdown zone. If not reported mid.

28
Q

When does landing inhibit activate?

A

800ft RA

29
Q

When does FMGC datalock happen and what does it?

A

700ft RA. It locks the ILS freq and course. You can’t change anything in the perf box anymore.

30
Q

When does land mode appear and what does CM1 do?

A

350ft RA, check if ILS course is displayed

31
Q

Autoland: When do flare mode and thr idle mode appear? When do we retard?

A

Flare mode appears at 40ft RA, thr idle appears at 30ft, retard sound at 10ft this is when we retard

32
Q

When is the red autoland light active and what will activate it?

A

200ft RA.
- untimely, early, long flare
- loss of loc >15
- loss of g/s > 100ft
- loss of both autopilots
- ra difference of >15 ft
- loc or g/s deviation
- failure of ground equipment

33
Q

What is alert height?

A

Height where if a failure occurs above: g/a has to be flown. If below: the aircraft can continue to do the landing on the automatics. 100ft RA

34
Q

What do we need for auto rollout?

A

CAT II minimum. Mid/end reported at 75m. NWS and antiskid operative.

35
Q

What do we need for auto land with manual rollout?

A

Mid/end reported at 125m/75m. Disconnect ap when nosewheel touches the ground.

36
Q

When do we select reverse max?

A

Emergency, when decel rate is not as expected, failure affecting landing performance, long flare/touchdown, unexpected tailwind, loss of braking.

37
Q

What to do when spoilers do not extend?

A

Verify thrust idle, select reverse full & manual braking full.

38
Q

What is the balked landing procedure?

A

I have control TOGA
Select TOGA & Take over pb + hold
Fly away from runway
When climbing away: G/A flaps
Latest you can do it: reverse selected

39
Q

When should the parking brake be released (brake temperatures)?

A

One brake above 500 degrees or brake above 350 degrees with brake fan on.
