When there’s other important information before “te”
Ik ga naar de supermarkt om boodschappen te doen.
I’m going to the market to do my groceries.

Form of om and te where there’s an adjective connecting to the verb at the end
Here, om comes after the adjective and te comes before the main verb at the end
Ik vind het leuk om naar de film te gaan.
I like going to the movies.
Het is vervelend om elke dag in de file te staan.
It’s annoying to be stuck in traffic every day.
Form of Om and Te with a substantive
Om comes before the subject of the second part of the sentence
Heb je zin om vanavond naar een concert te gaan?
Do you feel like going to a concert tonight?
Ik heb geen tijd om je met de verhuizing te helpen.
I don’t have time to help you with the move.
Om and Te with a separable verb
Om … prefix (“af”) + “te” + Infinitief (“spreken”)
Ik bel je vanavond om iets af te spreken
I’ll call you tonight to arrange something
