What is a Class A mishap?
Reportable material property damage of $2,000,000 or more; an injury or illness resulting in fatality or permanent total disability
What is a Class B mishap?
Reportable material property damage of $500,000-$2,000,000; or an injury or illness resulting in permanent partial disability; or 3 or more personnel inpatient hospitalized
What is a Class C mishap?
Reportable material property damage of $50,000-$500,000; or a nonfatal injury, illness, disease causes loss of time beyond the day or shift it occured
What does PPE stand for?
Personal Protective Equipment
What is PPE used for?
Last line of defense in the event of equipment breakdown, failure, misuse to include hazardous environments and working conditions that would immediately expose worker to a hazard.
What PPE is utilized in naval aviation?
Cranials Eye Protection Hearing protection Impact protection Gloves (leather, rubber, welders) Foot protection (fod free steal toe)
Safety Reposibilities of the Commanding Ofiicer?
Will require that persons are instructed, precautions and procedures are complied with and are posted.
