How to measure OVERJET
- Ask Patient to bite down
- Place front of tip of probe against middle 1/3 of mand. central incisor
- Record reading based on where incisal edge of max. central incisor lands on probe
is measured just like overjet, except the probe is place on the maxillary central incisor and the reading is based on where the incisal edge of the mandibular incisor rests. Record measurement in mm.
Underjet
The amount of vertical overlap that occurs when the maxillary incisors vertically overlap the mandibular incisors

Overbite
documented as anterior open bite or posterior open bite with the side of the mouth indicated, or bilateral.
