NURSING CONSIDERATION:
• Contraindicated in client’s with sulfa allergies
• Monitor CBC (can cause blood dyscrasias like bleeding, fever
• Monitor hepatic and renal function
• Give orally with full glass of water; Suppositories at HS
• Advise client: avoid sun, can cause urine, skin, contacts to have yellow-orange color
• Notify doctor if N/V, anorexia, sore throat, rash, bruising, or fever
