Either goggles or glasses with side protection. Unbreakable lenses, ANSI standards, allow straight ahead and peripheral vision.

Accessible within 10 seconds
When is a buddy system required for painting?
When working in hazardous areas such as tanks or voids
What is the required danger area when conducting spray applications of paint?
25 Feet
How should topside spaces exposed to the weathercocks be prepared?
Fresh water wash to remove any salt, as well as normal procedures to remove rust, dirt, oil, etc
When should old paint be removed?
Paint should be removed beyond any defective paint, removing rust, peeling, cracking, or blistering paint

Rough the steel with mechanical means prior to painting

Light abrasive blasting, use only stainless steel wire brushes and pads to clean
