What can cause ACD?
A
Chronic infection, vasculitis, rheumatoid, malignancy, renal failure

What can cause normocytic anaemia?
A
Acute blood loss, ACD, Pregnancy, Renal failure, Combined iron and B12/folate deficiency

How can you treat normocytic anaemia?
A
Treat underlying cause, improve diet, EPO injections

What changes would you expect with haemolysis?
A
Increase in reticulocytes, dark urine
