Seats:
PAX pays for the seat & item is with in the stress limits of the seat and floor structure

Secured:
Properly secured by seatbelt or tie-down restraint & secured to avoid injury to PAX

Restrictions:
Item does not restrict PAXs view of signs and placards & doesn’t restrict PAX access to exits or aisle

Type:
Item is not a dangerous goods & clean, dry, odorless, and smooth

Location:
Item is placed on or in front of a seat that is located AFT of a bulkhead or solid divider & not secured to bulkhead or solid divider

CRS (Child Restraint System)

A

PLAP SWAP The baby

Pax pays for the seat

CRS bears appropriate label

Accompanying PAX must be seated next to CRS

Placement of CRS must be in a FWD facing seat and either in a window seat or the center most seat in the center section. Cannot be in, FWD or AFT of exit rows & not side or AFT facing seat.

F/A ensures PAX secures CRS to properly seat and child securely in CRS

Child must be with in the weight limits of the CRS

Aisle armrest must be FWD and down

CRS must be positioned according to the manufactures specifications

In turbulence secure the child in to CRS

PAX are briefed on the nearest floor-level exit & to take the child leave the CRS

Sterile Cockpit

A

Begins from the time A/C moves on its own power up until 10,000 ft. & resumes on decent from 10,000 ft until the engines shut down.

At this time do not contact FD unless it is safety related

FDEAP

FD Emergency Access Procedure

A

Only used when FD is suspected or identified as incapacitated

Procedure
Try establishing contact with FD via interphone; wait 5 minutes, try again.
If no response; enter the FDEAP access code (winners don’t need glasses, if your not a zero then your number 1) the press #
Buzzer will sound in the FD &green light on the keypad will flash
During this time FD has button to deny access

If FD allows entrance:
Buzzing will stop & green light will illuminate steadily & door will unlock for 5 seconds

If FD denies access:
A red light will illuminate & door will remain locked

FD Access Procedure

A

Via interphone establish communication
Ensure area is clear, Lav A is empty & turn cabin lights on
Have one F/A facing AFT guard galley and ensure no one approaches the area
Other F/A use FD access signal to notify FD
Pilot is to verify F/As identity via peephole and open door
F/A will step into FD, pilot will step out; ensure door is securely closed
F/A straps into observer J/S
Pilot is to contact via interphone when done then use FD access signal
F/A is to verify pilot identify via peephole
Pilot enters 1st then F/A will step out when clear
