- Newcastle Law courts - flagship project of Tyne and Wear Development Corporation

Pos: - wealthier ppl living in the area
Neg: - Not affordable SOCIAL
- Not family housing (shortage)
- Ppl that couldn’t afford to stay had to move out
Assess the impact of regeneration: Cultural? SOCIAL
- Sage - music venue
- Baltic art - art gallery
Pos: - Creates entertainment oppors
- education oppors
- Attracts tourists + visitors to N ➡ creates jobs ➡ Job creation ⬅ - Tertiary (service) - 5000 tertiary services have been created e.g. sound engineer in sage - ARE QUITE WELL PAID
Neg: ppl living in that area didn’t have skills to do these jobs
