E.g. Clubmarks
A list of criteria which sports clubs must provide across 4 key areas of development
Help support clubs to attract funding and is a sign of a well run club.
NGBs and County Sports Partnerships role in Benchmarks
Have to complete a licensing process to demonstrate minimum standards are met
Measuring Performance: Self Assessments - Undertaken by who and what does it help?
Undertaken via use of Quest UK Quality Scheme for Sport and Leisure
Helps the club develop an innovative team, improved morale and results
How can self assessments be developed?
Via criteria such as business planning, financial management and continuous improvement.
Measuring Performance: External Assessments
Undertaken by Quest Scheme
Can involve mystery visits
Focusses on self assessment criteria for business planning and financial management assessed by external assessors
Measuring Participation: Active People
Active People measure participation levels in UK sport
Provides data on who, where (national/local etc) and how people participate.
Measuring Participation: Swim 21
Measures uptake of NGB schemes
Helps swimming clubs by providing a well known industry badge, develop club management and structure and provide a safe and secure environment for people.
How to measure impact on society
Start Active, Stay Active looking at range of issues for different age groups surrounding the use of physical activity
