emotion mood and anxiety. regulates sleep wakefulness and eating. (low depression ocd)
Gamma Aminobutyric Acid GABA
slows down neuron activity in order to prevent their over excitation leading to anxiety. (low anxiety)
Glutamate
learning and memory (high Lou Gehrig’s disease)
Epinephrine and Norepinephrine
mental focus and attention. regulates mood and both physical and mental arousal. (high raises heart rate and blood pressure)
Endorphins
reduces pain, stress, and promotes calmness and serenity. (hibernation by slowing down metabolism, respiration and heart rate.)
