lower motor neuron facial nerve palsy → forehead affected
post-auricular pain (may precede paralysis)
altered taste
dry eyes

tx - streoids, eye drops and tape eye
TIA tx
- immediate
- last 7 days
- over 7 days ago
- aspirin 300mg immediate if no CI
- assessment next 24 hours!!
- assessment next week 7d
Patients cannot drive for…..? following a first unprovoked or isolated seizure if brain imaging and EEG normal

total anterior circulation infarct syx
unilateral weakness of the face, arm and leg; as well as a homonymous hemianopia and a symptom of higher cerebral dysfunction.
A posterior circulation infarct
present with a cerebellar or brainstem syndrome, or loss of consciousness, or an isolated homonymous hemianopia.
partial anterior circulation infarct
unilateral weakness, homonymous hemianopia and higher cerebral dysfunction.
lacunar stroke
either a purely motor, a purely sensory or a mixed motor and sensory deficit
