Locate in the inner ear- it is amdw up of circular cannals- they pick up rotation, nodding, side flexion of the head- fluid Canals move stimulate hair cells that send info into nerve.
The hair cells are attached to crystals that move and send action potentials to the brain - allowing it to detect head positioning
