Nervous system Flashcards
Central nervous system
Contains the brain and spinal cord.
The brain then branches off to the cerebrum(top) and cerebellum ( involuntary)
How many parts of the nervous system are there
Two the central nervous systems and the peripheral
Parts of the peripheral system
Sensory division (sensory receptors and internourons that connect to Center nervous system)
The motor division comma allows the body to react to the sensory information
Components of the motor division
Sematic (skeletal muscle) Consist of motor noodles that control the movement of skeletal muscles. Voluntary.
Autonomic nervous system, Consists of nerves that control the body’s internal condition by affecting smooth muscles, both in blood vessels and in organs
Parts of the automatic system
The sympathetic division preps body force stress by reduravting blood
Parasympathetic division Relaxes the body and returns it to its natural state
