Diagnostic tests from cancer
Routine screening Self exam Blood test- PSA CT, MRI, ultrasound Biopsy
Invasion
Local spread
Tumor cells grow onto adjacent tissues
Metastasis
Spread to distant sites
Via blood or lymph or other body fluids
Nutrition
Pts are malnourished
Vomiting/diarrhea
Sores in mouth
Malabsorption
Anorexia
Change in taste
Malignant tumors
Skin cancer-visible
Ovarian cancer-high mortality, hidden
Brain tumor- can be fatal if benign or malignant
Aptosis
