- central punctum and unable to pull skin over lesion

- recent infection

- usually local spread of head and neck cancer, lymphoma and leukaemia or metastatic disease

A

- consistency of half filled water bottle
- cholesterol crystals on fine needle aspiration

- upper 1/3 of anterior border of sternocleidomastoid
- firm, pulsatile masses that move from side to side

- pulsatile mass with bruits
