A
tonsils located in the nasopharynx, in close proximity to the eustachian tube

what causes adenoid problems
A
when they undergo hyperplasia to the extend in which they cause obstruction of the nasopharynx (can develop as a consequence of upper respiratory tract infection or recurrent rhinosinusitis)
