List the boundaries of the anterior triangle of the neck
Superiorly - inferior border of the mandible, Posteriorly - Anterior border of SCM, Anteriorly - midline of the neck from chin to the jugular notch
List the boundaries of the posterior triangle of the neck
Anteriorly - posterior border of SCM, Posteriorly - anterior border of the trapezius, Inferiorly - middle 1/3 of the clavicle
What are the attachments of the SCM?
Sternum, clavicle and mastoid bone
What are the actions of the trapezius muscle ?
rotate and retract scapula, extend the neck, elevate and depress the scapula
What are the boundaries of the submental triangle?
Inferior - hyoid bone, Medial - midline of the neck, Lateral - anterior belly of the digastric muscle
What are the boundaries of the digastric triangle?
Superiorly - body of the mandible, Anteriorly - anterior belly of the digastric muscle, Posteriorly - posterior belly of the digastric muscle
What artery lies within the digastric triangle?
Facial
What are the boundaries of the carotid triangle?
Superior - posterior belly of the digastric, lateral - medial border of the SCM, Inferior - superior belly of the omohyoid muscle
What are the boundaries of the muscular triangle?
Superiorly - hyoid bone, medially - midline of the neck, superolateral - superior belly of the omohyoid muscle, inferolateral - inferior portion of the SCM
The CCA is a branch of which arteries?
Brachiocephalic trunk (right side) and the Arch of Aorta (left side)
What lies within the carotid sheath?
The CCA, IJV and Vagus Nerve
What are the two terminal branches of the ECA given off in the face?
The maxillary and superficial temporal artery
What does the jugular venous sinus drain?
The brain

The brachiocephalic vein
