Q

State how to calculate Bingo Fuel.

A
FoG
\+
Recovery Fuel (e.g. a cct, or IRM/ CFFR...)
\+
Fuel to negotiate airspace
\+
1kg per kt of headwind to base
\+
1kg per kt of headwind from base to Div
\+

Q

State how to carry out a Bingo profile.

A

Climb using full power and 350kts to FL(2 x range to home plate)

At ToC, set power for 300kts (gives ~580 degrees T6) or M0.7 above 30,000ft.

Confirm the airfield recovery state.

Check the INAV datablock for estimated arrival fuel.
If this is uncomfortably close, calculate the fuel required for descent (will use [FL/10]kg of fuel) and the fuel required to reach ToD (using EMP fuel flow).
If this is still uncomfortably close, use the FRC figures for DI2.5.

Start range descent at ([FL/10] x 1.5)nm from base.

Q

What should you do if you make your fuel calculations at the top of the bingo profile and you don’t have the fuel to get back to base above FoG?

A

Consider diverting if there is a suitable airfield closer than base.
Or
Declare a pan for fuel.

Q

At what range from the LLEP should you start your descent for a:

Range Descent

Tactical Descent

A

Range: At [(FL/10) x 1.5]nm

Tactical: [(FL/10) x 0.5]nm

In reality, put the vv on the point you want to enter LL and use the throttle to make it work.
