  • only warranted if pt has non-hereditary MO and only after maturation of the lesion (6-24 mo)
  • indicated when lesions mechanically interfere with joint movement or impinges on nerves

  • implementation of flexibility exercises –> avoid being overly aggressive or it could worsen
  • manual therapy for maintenance of joint mechanics
