A
A type of non-ischaemic cardiomyopathy, associated with a transient apical ballooning of the myocardium (octopus-trap in Japanese).

Apical Ballooning :
- Severe Hypokinesis of Mid and Apical Segments & Preservation of Activity of Basal Segments.
- Apex (Bottom) of Heart does not contract - the base (top) continues to contract.
