If someone has lymphoid disease, what might they present with?
?
Chronic myeloid vs chronic lymphoid
Hepatomegaly in both
Lymphadenopathy in lymphoid
Lymphoid cancer presntation
IVC obstruction
infiltration of liver brain or eyes
Systemic presentatios

B symptoms - FLAWS
Tumour lysis syndrome - release of intracellular contents
Autoimmune disorders
What are the two types of bone marrow biopsies?
Bone marrow aspirate
Bone marrow trephine - core of bone marrow
?
Core biopsy - looks for cells that shouldn’t be there, e.g. TB or mets
However doesn’t tell you the architecture of the lymphoid tissue
?
Flow cytometry
Immunohistochemistry
