symptom control in myeloma

A

opiate analgesia (avoid NSAIDs)
local radio - good for pain relief and spinal cord compression
bisphosphonates - corrects bone pain and hypercalcaemia
vertebroplasty - inject sterile cement into fractures bone to stabilise
