MET stage II (1.4-20. MET)
In sitting: self-bathing, shaving, crafts
Exercises in sitting: all extremities, increase # of reps
MET Stage III (2.0-3.0 MET)
Sitting: showering in warm water, home making tasks with brief standing periods to transfer light items, ironing, card playing , crafts, machine sewing, typing, w/c mobility for limited distances
Standing: exercise all extremities and trunk, progressively increasing # reps; may include balance exercises and light mat activities w/o resistance
begin progressive ambulation and 0% grade and comfortable pace
MET Stage IV (3.0-3.5)
ADLs and homemaking activities in standing while practicing energy conservation
Unlimited distance ambulation at 0% grade in a nd outdoors; may begin slow stair climbing
bowling, canoeing, golfing, light gardening, driving
Exercise: increase workload, balance, and mat activities with mild resistance
Glasgow Coma score range
