a syndrome consisting of widespread pain affecting the entire musculoskeletal system

symptoms of fibromyalgia
A
widespread soft tissue pain, nonrestorative sleep, fatigue, inability to think clearly, parethesias and joint swelling, depression, and anxiety
must have excessive tenderness in at least 11 of 18 trigger points on the body

A
daily activity log: record of baseline of daily activities client is engaged in
COPM
Pain assessment: establish a baseline of pain and documentation of improvements or regression of pain levels after OT tx

A
- client education to avoid pain triggers and manage stress
- gentle regular aerobic exercise
- sleep hygiene techniques
- myofascial release and trigger point tx
- massage
- relaxation exercises

- memory aids
