What is the Agonist Muscle?
The muscle that is contracting and controlling movement.
What is Isometric Contraction?
No movement [but muscles still contract]
What is Isotonic Contraction?
Moving.
What are the two types of Isotonic Contraction?
Eccentric and Concentric.
What is Eccentric Contraction?
Muscle lengthens as it contracts.
Downwards.
What is Concentric Contraction?
Muscle shortens as it contraccts.
Upwards.
What are the Planes and Axis Pairings?
Sagittal Plane & Transverse Axis.
Frontal Plane & Sagittal Axis.
