Flexor retinaculum and trapezium.
INSERTION
Metacarpal bone of the thumb on radial side.
ACTION
Opposes CMC joint of the thumb.
INNERVATION
Median.

ORIGIN
Posterior shafts of ulna and radius.
INSERTION
1st Metacarpal bone.

Abduction and extension of the thumb.
