Q

Describe it’s articulation with the tibia at the knee joint

What is it’s main function

Q

What are the two ways that the lateral malleolus of the fibula can fracture?

A

**1) External rotation of the ankle **- his force of the talus against the bone causes a spiral fracture

2) (Less Common) Is the foot being twisted outwards (called eversion) - Talus presses against the lateral malleolus, and this time causes a transverse fracture
