What is child vulnerability?
Dependent on someone else
What is the difference of safe child and at risk?
Safe is when there is no threat of danger or when the caregiver Protective capacities can manage threats of danger.
At risk means statistical factors that could lead to maltreatment
What is the danger threshold criteria for impending danger?
- Observable
- Out of Control
- Severe
- Imminent (likely to happen without intervention)
- Vulnerable Child
What are protective factors in families?
- Nurturing and attachment
- Knowledge of parenting and child development
