- Dialogue
- Restraint (a higher power person can refuse to use all of the currencies they have at their power.
- Focus on interdependence. (think of manager and secretary)
- The power of calm persistence.
- Stay activity engaged.
- Empowerment of low-power people by high-power people.
- Metacommunication – being verbally explicit about the communication
