Div. 01 specifies broad administrative and procedural requirements that govern all spec sections

When is delegated design needed?
- Building component has unique requirements only product manufacturer is familiar
- Manufacturer has capacity to design and engineer as part of their normal service
Where is delegated design specified?
In affected Div. 02 - 49 sections - whether contractor will retain licensed A/E to design OR subcontractor/supplier will obtain independent A/E to design
Manufacturer/subcontractor submit drawings and calcs/certificates as submittals through contractor
