A

believe on day of judgment Allah will judge them on how they lived their life and behaved. Link between al-Qadr and day of judgment as Muslims believe once day comes, too late to beg for forgiveness for wrongdoing.

What does al-qadr teach Muslims?

A

Everything is will of Allah, although Muslims may not understand it, important thing is how they react to it. Reacting right way mean reward on day of judgment. Sahih al-Bukhari 78:685 describes how people are responsible for sins, as decided what action to take-will be judged.

A

after angel of death take a person’s soul to barzakh (stage between when a person dies and face judgment). Allah will judge everyone, on day of judgment body will be resurrected, 2 angles will open book that contains record of what person did in lifetime. If name on right hand side of book= al-Jannah (paradise). If on left=Jahannam (hell).

Similarities:Life is test, places of eternal reward and punishment, resserection.
Differences:Christians accept sacrifice of Jesus to atone for sins of world. Muslims believe only sinner can ask for forgivness, purgator in Catholicism not the same as barzakh in Islam. Chrisitans don’t have angels recording deeds of a person like in Islam.
