How it works

A

Involve offender, victim + volunteer practitioner (all volunteer to do this)

Victim give insight of their own lives + experience
-offender would feel sympathy for action = less reoffend (minimisation less likely to downplay)
-victim get to move on

A

Amygdala smaller = less sympathy

Restorative justice allows for criminal to have amygdala stimulated due to feeling empathy from victim = grown amygdala = less reoffend
