How is Bell’s palsy managed?

A
  • If presenting within 72 hours, prescribe oral prednisolone
  • Give advise about keeping eye moisturised and about eating a soft diet is palsy is affecting swallowing
  • Refer is suspected cause is motor neurone disease, cancer, trauma, or systemic or local infection
