A
Pan systolic murmur that goes to the axilla

What are the investigations?
A
To finish the exam i would like to - Fundoscopy, respiratory exam, and Peripheral arterial exam,urinalysis and BP
By the bed - History and obs.
Bloods - FBC, U/E, TFTs
Other - ECG, ECHO to assess severity
CXR

A
Echo will show valve dysfunction

What is the treatment?
A
Conservative - Explain it to the patient
Medical - Treat AF/HF
Surgical - Mitral valve replacement
Anti coag

What are the risk factors?
A
IHD
Rheumatic fever
Mitral valve prolapse
