What is this a presentation of?
Lesions on flexor aspects of wrists, forearms, ankles and legs. Itchy papular rash, white lacy markings, often at site of trauma.
Lichen planus
What is the phenomenon called when lichen planus arises at the site of trauma?
Koebner phenomenon
What is the treatment for lichen planus?
Topical steroids
What is this a presentation of?
Elderly, blistering skin. Itchy, tense blisters around flexures, heals without scarring, mouth is spared.
Bullous pemphigoid
What would a skin biopsy of bullous pemphigoid show?
IgG and C3 at the dermoepidermal junction
What is the treatment for bullous pemphigoid?
Potent topical steroids
What is this a presentation of?
<40 years old, blistering of the skin. Mucosal involvement, mouth is involved. Painful but non-itching.
Pemphigus
What would a skin biopsy of pemphigus show?
IgG against desmoglein 1 and 3
What is the treatment for pemphigus?
Steroids
