Doubled size of Kingdom, brought back centralized government, established schools with latin language, spread christianity, preserved records, and grown it into an empire.

Explain the importance of the Treaty of Verdun in detail.
It split Charlemagne’s empire into three between his three sons. They fought all of the time, and Lothair was their main battleground.

Sytem of government in which local lords control their own lands butowe military sevice and support to a greater lord. (land for services)
