Flossing
A
- begin when teeth have IP contacts (3 years)
- 3-6 yrs cannot floss; place in supine position and use floss holder
- 8-10 yrs need assistance
- 25 cm floss

Varnish application
A
- Remove gross plaque
- Dry tooth surfaces
- Open packet and mix well
- Wipe clean teeth with dry gauze
- Air dry teeth
- Paint teeth with varnish
- Instruct parents and child
- do not brush teeth until next day
- childs teeth might be slightly yellow or white until brushed
- eat and drink after 30 minutes. Avoid hot stuff - Not used in patients with Asthma
