What are the objectives of children’s act?

What is dental neglect?
Failure of caregivers to provide prerequisites of proper oral function by seeking timely dental treatment to free child from infection and pain.
Signs of abuse in a child?
- lack of eye contact
- overly anxious
- fear of being touched
- bruises, bite marks, burns
- no communication
- inappropriately dressed for the weather
What are the health care rights of the child?
- to be informed about health status
- told in a child friendly language
- informed about decisions regarding their health care needs
- have the right to participate in decisions

What is consent?
