Scanning
What is 10x used for?
Reading fecal floats to find ova
What is 40x used for?
Reading fecal directs and urine sediment
What is 100x used for?
ID cellular material like RBC, WBC and bacteria
How do you calculate total magnification?
Multiply the ocular lens by the objective being used
What is the coarse adjustment for?
Focusing under low magnification
What is the fine adjustment for?
Focusing under high or low magnification
What does the diaphragm(iris or disc) do?
Regulates and concentrates the amount of light
What does the body tube do?
Sends the image to the eyepiece
