A
scrips were used as a system to distribute land entitled to Métis people.
Scrips were a single piece of paper that was either exchanged for land or money.

A
Due to the poorly functioning system, Métis people often did not get their land because of fraud, land already having occupants, and from the lackluster effort of the government

An agreement between Canadian government and Metis. Which recognized the Aboriginal rights of Metis people as saw them as Aboriginal.
