What did the first nations people want to ensure when negotiating treaties
In exchange for allowing the settlers on their land first nations wanted to ensure that people would get the assistance they needed to adapt to the new way of life.
How did the government view the number treaties versus the first nations
The government saw the treaties as the first nations’ agreement to surrender their claim to the land first. nation leaders saw the treaties as agreements to share the land.

European’s worldview saw cheaties as a business contract, whereas first stations broke theo saw them as sacred oaths

The government and the first nation’s leaders did dance, speak the same languages. Interpreters were used to bridge the gap between the languages, which proved difficult When there were words that could not be described in the first nation’s language
Why is it believe that interpreters do a bad job of interpreting the treaties
It stopped that the interpreters were government employees that were under pressure to present the government’s terms in the best possible light, leading to first nation leaders, not fully understand the implications of being asked.

The company made sure that the deal contained at least some protection for the aboriginal interests

They bought rupert’s land off of hudson bay company 3hundred thousand dollars, which made them responsible for the North quebec, to the rocky mountains and arctic.Giving them more land for settlers
