What is a worldview
Is the perspective from which a person perceives, understands, and reacts to the world around them.
How is your worldview made
It is shaped by gender, age, experience, family history, and language. People who share cultures tend to share worldviews
In general, what is the First Nation world view
Their worldview is holistic. This mean they focus on the whole of creation, rather than just individual parts. In this worldview, humans are one part of the universe no better or worse than the rest.
European worldview
Their worldview had a focus on humans. They were on top of everything else. All other parts of nature were used to support themselves.
First nations vs. eouropeans view of land
First Nation did not process land like europeans. The idea of individual land ownership was foreign.
For eatopeans that was the commen understanding.
What are natural laws
Is how the natural world works and can be learned or observed.
Why do First Nations people believe in natural law
It is a part of their holistic views. They were put on this land by the greater and were given all they needed to survive. Inredturb they must follow natural law
How did First Nations people interact with different groups
They respect each other right to exist, make decisions, and pursue wat of life according to different spiritual and cultural beliefs.
How did First Nation people view communities
People worked together for the better of the community rather than for themselves. Decisions were made through group decision and general agreement.
What was the great law of peace
Before 1450, the haudenosaunee nations agreed to form a confederacy in which each nation would live with the others in peace and harmony.

A set of institutions and principles that goverb a country or group of people. The great law of peace was North America’s first constitution

The rights of individuals and the rights of memeber nations. Each nation was considered independent.

The grand council had a leader of each nation discuss issues if common concern. Solutions were made through consensus and not voting. This kept all nations equal and balanced

Boats that were used to record significant events and agreements. They were made up of shell beads and strings

The Guswentah (two row wampum) treaty
What is the Guswentah treatment, and it’s significance
The dutch wanted to establish a training for it and proposed a treaty of mutual respect and peaceful coexistence. Is treaty ship the standard for future treaties with europeans and Haudenosaunee. This treaty was made in 1645

1674, The british accepted the Guswentah treaty when they took over the dutch colony
1701, the huadenosaunee signed a treaty of peace and neutral understanding with the french
1768, the treaty of stanwix- between the British crown and Haudenosaunee- It sought to end the sale of traditional land to british settlers without british monarch’s approval.
Why did the fort stanwix treaty fall
The crown could not control their thirteen colonies and was unable to stop them from selling land
Why were Haudenisauneee run out from their home
American rebels saw their neutrality as support for the british.
What was the agreement of 1844
Was an agreement of peace between the dakota nation and the metis people. The agreement was held by having the metis people take the place of the people they killed
Why was the agreement of 1844 created
The Dakota Nation had come to resent the metis people living to the north. Both relied on the Buffalo for livelihood. However metis hinted 8n large numbers for trade and expanding settlement. This angered the Dakota nation because the Buffalo was sacred to them. This led to conflicts That caused death
