What is the management of anaphylaxis?
A
IM injection of adrenaline 1:1000, 0.5mg

Where do you administer adrenaline?
A
Thigh (middle third)

How do you manage angina?
A
- GTN spray sublingual (400 micrograms) twice before considering aspirin
- aspirin 300mg crushed or chewed if suspected MI (A&E)

How do you differentiate angina from an MI?
A
- central crushing chest pain, pain radiating to left arm, shoulder and neck, SOB
- angina symptoms are similar to that of MI, but brought on by exertion
- if symptoms do not subside within 10-15 minutes this is concerning

How do you manage asthma?
A
Salbutamol 100mg ± spacer if required

What is the management of status epilepticus?
A
10mg midazolam squirted into buccal sulcus

What is the management of hypoglycaemia?
A
- quick release glucose (any source)
- IM injection of glucagon 1mg (thigh, buttock, or arm)
