How are lichens indicators of air pollution?
A
Lichens are very sensitive to sulphur dioxide in the atmosphere so the number of lichen at a particular location will indicate how clean the air is.

A
That they were low levels of air pollution and the air was very clean.

What does mayfly larvae in a river indicate?
A
That the water is clean because there is oxygen in the river for the mayfly to live.
