What is the relationship between metric prefixes and base units?
The metric prefixes tell you how many of the base units are being represented
How do you convert measurements from one metric prefix unit to another?
To convert from a larger prefix to a smaller prefix, multiply. For a smaller to a larger prefix, divide.
What is the difference between mass and volume?
Mass is the amount of matter in an object. Volume is how much space it takes up.
How do you calculate the median?
Arrange the data points from smallest to largest. The median is the middle number.
How do you calculate the mean?
Add up all of the data points and divide by how many there are
What variable goes on the x-axis?
The independant variable
What variable goes on the y-axis?
The dependent variable
What is the definition of direct?
Where both variables increase together
What is the definition of indirect?
As one variable increases, the other decreases.
What is the definition of constant?
Change in one variable has no effect on the other
What is the definition of non-linear?
Not linear, sequential, or straightforward; random.
What is the definition of peak?
The highest part of the graph
