maculopapular rash - blotchy and confluent
desquamation that spares the palms and soles by occur after a week

IgM antibodies with in few days of rash onset
Mx
supportive
notify public health
admission for who
immunosuppressed or pregnant women
complications common
otitis media - most common
pneumonia - most common
other complications
encephalitis
subacute sclerosing pan encephalitis - rare
febrile convulsions
keratoconjunctivitis
corneal ulcer
diarrhoea
appendicitis
myocarditis
Mx of contacts
MMR offered - if not vaccined and comes in contact
given with in 72 hours of contact
